The National Service Scheme (NSS) is a Central Sector initiative under the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India. It offers students from schools, technical institutions, graduate and postgraduate colleges, and universities across the country an opportunity to engage in government-led community service activities and programs.

Launched in 1969 with just 40,000 volunteers across 37 universities, NSS has now expanded extensively across the nation. Through various social initiatives, awareness campaigns, and volunteer programs, students develop leadership qualities, discipline, teamwork, and a strong sense of social responsibility.

“Not Me, But You” reflects the democratic spirit of selfless service and concern for humanity.

Tree Plantation 8th September 2025
Blood Donation Day

Blood Donation Day was observed at CT Institute of Higher Studies on 8 September 2025 in collaboration with PIMS and Punjab Kesari to promote awareness about voluntary blood donation. The Principal and faculty members highlighted the importance of blood donation as a noble act that can save lives. A medical team conducted the camp following proper health and safety guidelines, including donor screening. Students and staff participated enthusiastically and donated blood voluntarily. The event helped dispel myths about blood donation and encouraged humanitarian values. Overall, it was successfully conducted, promoting social responsibility and empathy among participants.

Constitution Day

Constitution Day was observed on 26 November 2025 to mark the adoption of the Constitution of India and to promote awareness of its values. The program, organized by CT Group, saw active participation from students and staff. The Principal highlighted the importance of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity, and paid tribute to Dr. B. R. Ambedkar. A Preamble reading and Constitution pledge were conducted to encourage responsible citizenship. The event concluded with a vote of thanks, leaving participants informed and inspired.

World AIDS Day

World AIDS Day was observed at CT Institute of Higher Studies on 1 December 2025 to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS, its prevention, treatment, and to show support for affected individuals. The Principal and guest speaker Dr. Anna emphasized the importance of awareness, early detection, and eliminating stigma and discrimination. They also highlighted that education and responsible behaviour are key to preventing the spread of the disease. The programme concluded successfully, promoting awareness, empathy, and social responsibility among students.

Poster & Caption Writing competition

A Poster and Caption Writing Competition was held on 3 November 2025 to celebrate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. organized by CT Institute of Higher Studies, the event aimed to spread awareness about his contributions to national unity and integrity. Students actively participated, creating posters on the theme “Unity, Integrity and Nation Building,” which were judged on creativity and presentation. The competition concluded successfully, encouraging patriotism, creativity, and awareness among students.

Essay Writing Competition

An Essay Writing Competition was organized on 18 November 2025 at CT institute of Higher studies to commemorate the martyrdom of Guru Tegh Bahadur, known as “Hind Di Chadar” for his sacrifice in defense of religious freedom. The event aimed to spread awareness about his life, teachings, and values such as courage, tolerance, and secularism. Students participated enthusiastically, writing on the theme of his martyrdom and its relevance in the present era.
