CT Institute of Higher Studies, Shahpur, Jalandhar proudly hosts a Local Chapter of SWAYAM–NPTEL, an initiative funded by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. The National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL) is a collaborative project by the IITs and IISc, aimed at making high-quality education accessible to all.
“Now, certificates from the IITs and IISc are just a click away.”
NPTEL offers free online certification courses that are open to anyone, anytime, anywhere, with no entrance exams or eligibility criteria. Learners can join any course and enroll at no cost.
The primary goal of NPTEL is to empower students by providing certification courses that enhance employability and support progression to higher education. Through this online platform, students can choose from 4, 8, and 12-week courses across a wide range of subjects—spanning technical fields, sciences, humanities, and emerging tools and technologies—relevant for learners at all levels of higher education. While learning is free, students have the option to appear for a proctored certification exam held in over 100 cities across India. Successful candidates receive certificates from leading institutions like IIT Delhi, IIT Kanpur, IIT Bombay, IIT Guwahati, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras, IIT Roorkee, and IISc Bangalore, with support from industry collaborators.
Faculty members are also encouraged to participate by enrolling as Mentors for these courses, contributing to academic enrichment and continuous professional development.
Dr. Seema Arora, Principal of CT Institute of Higher Studies, Shahpur, Jalandhar, emphasizes, “This is a golden opportunity for both students and faculty to enhance their knowledge and strengthen their career prospects.”
